March 2023

1-31 March 2023

March went past in a blur. We made it to Toowoomba and then, after being fitted in between other work, the issue was not resolved, despite comprehensive investigation and new windows being fitted. So with a week or so before another slot was available, we made a quick trip down to Victoria to visit family.

While in Victoria we decided to try something ourselves and it seemed that we had fixed the issue! If only we had tried this before heading off from Perth!!! Oh well.

So with a possible repair done and family visited, we made our way North once a gain to visit one of Joanne's close friends from school. The trip to Coffs Harbour was rather quick and the visit a nice one, and then, we slowed right down and made our way back to Western Australia at our usual 100km per day pace. And boy did we enjoy it!

We did however have a date to be back as we had committed to a farm sit for 6-8 weeks from the end of the month. In the meantime we enjoyed some old, and some new campsites and places to visit as we made our way West. Fuel prices had eased slightly, but not enough to make a big difference.

Mark Twain once said "...years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do that by the things you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." - and so we will.
